Since its formation in 1971, The ING New York City Marathon has grown to become one of the largest marathons in the world and draws more than 100,000 applicants every year.
In 2011, Converseon played an integral part in the social success of the marathon by executing key Facebook integrations and runner participation.

For the Marathon’s Facebook page, Converseon built two tabs that highlighted participants in the race. One tab focused on note-worthy race participants, while the other drew attention to other competitors.

Converseon compiled a photo scrapbook to boost runner’s support and recognition. We also helped to support Facebook-hosted chats where coaches could answer questions and give advice to participants and supporters of the race.

The day of the marathon, Converseon provided live Twitter updates and also streamed live tweets containing the marathon hashtag to web, tv and screens posted around the race.
